Manila, Philippines – September 6, 2025.
The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) celebrated the achievements of
outstanding professionals during the 2025 PRC Awards held at The Manila Hotel,
carrying the theme “Pride in Service, Respect for Dignity, Commitment to
Professional Excellence.”
The event honored individuals and
organizations who exemplify service, integrity, and dedication in their fields.
Among this year’s honorees was Dr. Ron
Resureccion, who received the Outstanding Psychologist of the Year Award, a
testament to his exemplary service and contributions to the profession. Dr.
Resureccion was also a distinguished nominee for the Nubla Excellence Award,
further affirming his influence and leadership in psychology.
The Psychological Association of the
Philippines (PAP) also proudly stood as a finalist for the Outstanding
Accredited Professional Organization (Category B), showcasing its sustained
efforts in advancing the discipline of psychology and serving the Filipino
community.
The PAP delegation was led by Dr. Glenn
Glarino, President, alongside Dr. Tere Chiu, Executive Director; Henmar
Cardiño, Chair, Awards Committee; Em Hapin, Treasurer and Awards Committee
Member; Dr. Mabs Lemen, Board of Trustees and Awards Committee Member; Sherryl
Muli-Abellanosa, International Relations Officer, and support PAP secretariat, Bobby Sevilla, Jeanette Cardeño, Mercedita Mondejar, Erlinda Sevilla, Pen Cruz,
and Alma Mosatalla.
Adding warmth to the celebration, Dr.
Resureccion’s wife and daughter graced the occasion in support of his
achievement. Also present were distinguished guests from the psychology
community, including Dr. Tarroja, former PAP president, and Dr. Villar, former
Professional Regulatory Board (PRB) member.
The 2025 PRC Awards underscored the
enduring value of professional excellence, respect, and service to the nation.
For the psychology community, the recognition of both individuals and
organizations highlighted the continued commitment to raising the standards of
practice and upholding the dignity of the profession.
